Rare Vintage Old Pawn. 925 Sterling Silver Hand Stamped Navajo Pearls Bench Beads Graduated Necklace. 32 Long, 198g Excellent+ Condition! Please scroll to view all 12 photos. Absolutely stunning vintage Navajo pearls necklace, becoming harder to find these in such excellent condition. The largest bead is about 22mm (21.99 with my Mitutoyo digital caliper) in diameter, the smallest beads are about 10.68mm in diameter. There is a total of 77 beads on the graduated strand, to me a very lucky number. The strand measures 32.25 from end to end when laid out flat. They are strung on a sturdy sterling chain with a strong hook clasp. The rings and clasp are soldered closed so it won’t come apart, though the necklace is long enough to easily slip over your head. On my postal scale it weighs 198 grams, I weighed it over and over and sometimes I would get 200 grams but I went with the lighter weight to leave room for error. Please note that this is just an estimate with the tools I have available! My postal scale is pretty accurate, though not as much as my jeweler’s scale, my jeweler’s scale just couldn’t handle an item of this substantial weight. Another item I just had to have because it was so beautiful, and I spent a small fortune on this. I never even wore it myself as I tend to wear much smaller jewelry, and it was always very carefully stored for many years in my jewelry armoire. To my eye, this necklace is in superb condition with minimal if any signs of wear. I consider myself a particular person and a harsh critic and to me this necklace really does look excellent. The only thing I can find is some minor tarnish as it is sterling silver, but these beads can easily be polished to a bright shine by a jeweler or you can do it yourself if you’re familiar with silver polishing.
