This is a very nice example of the best off-road racer of the 1980s! I put this one together from parts of a few incomplete RC10s and tried to keep it as original as I could. Here are some of the highlights. Period-correct Futaba 2 Channel radio installed. Futaba MC210 Electronic Speed Control with Reverse. Trinity Chameleon 19 turn brushed motor. Original gold aluminum shocks. 6 Gear (pre-stealth) transmission. Very cool paint job on new body with high-downforce wing. NOS Tires and wheels. NOT glued to rims in case you want to change them out. A Stamp gold pan chassis (introduced in 1984). No extra holes drilled or bits cut out of this one. Transmitter is pretty rough, but it works. Throttle trigger is a bit sticky. Also, battery door does not latch correctly and needs to be secured by a piece of electrical tape. Older Futaba “Magnum” pistol-grip transmitters are common and inexpensive. They are usually missing the antennae, but transmitter this has got a brand new one! To replace it all you need to do is swap out the crystal. Replacement (or non-vintage) parts include proline gear cover (original ones are stupid expensive), transmission brace, servo saver (is a black one from a newer model). Shock collars and springs are not correct ones for this model. Battery holder straps are bodged, and 1/2 of battery holder has end cut out for bigger battery.
