This is a very rare US World War 1 P17 Doughboy helmet. It is just over 100 years old so the steel has started to show a little rust. Both of the original bails are still there but the chinstrap and liner are not. The heat stamp is still somewhat visible and I believe it reads YU 154 I tried my best to take a picture of it so you can decipher for yourself. The coolest part of the helmet is the 3rd division insignia hand painted on the front.
