1966 Fender Mustang White. This is a great example of a Mustang. Clean, all original, and an “ES” stamped body. ES stood for entered special for Fender guitars in the’60s. The neck has a ton of bird’s eye marks all over the maple. It is certainly one of the most beautiful Mustang necks that I have seen. The neck stamp is 15MAY66B but there is a 6 handwritten over the 5. This leads me to believe that this neck was destined to be a Jaguar neck, which would have been given the nicer bird’s eye maple neck, but was changed to a Mustang neck for a special ordered white Mustang. The serial number dates to 1966, the pickups are from August and September of 1966, and the pots date to 1966. This guitar has been professionally set up and will be ready to play out of the box. It comes with the original Case and has all functions latches. This guitar is used and is over 50 years old so it does show signs of use and has its fair number of bumps, scrapes, bruises, and scratches. Please review the pictures carefully.
