A fabulous and very rare hand crafted early century Navajo bracelet of exceptional quality and beauty, dating to the 1930s with three natural turquoise stones, each pump drilled. The center is oval shaped and green in color while the two side stones are triangular shaped and blue in color, each plain bezel set and framed in hand twisted wire and separated from each other by a pair of hand made hand applied raindrops. The sides of the bracelet are especially lovely with arrowhead shaped stamps down the center and the sides stamped with a lovely pair of stamps, all the way down to and around the rounded terminals. The inside center has an extra piece of silver, which may represent an old repair or reinforcement of the silver. The silver itself is solid and not frail in any way. It has some flexibility so the size can be adjusted larger or narrower by a. Silversmith adjusting the gap. The size internal length is about 5-9/16″ with an additional gap of about 1-1/6″ for a total of about 6-5/8 internal length. It could easily fit up to 7″ and down to 6-1/4″ in my judgment. The width is a nice size at 13/16″ at the center, tapering down to 5/16″ at the terminals. There are some surface chips on the two end stones, but they don’t endanger the integrity of the piece. You can see the host stone of the turquoise, a beautiful look and the natural stones are wonderful, especially with their pump drill holes. Overall condition is very good vintage, wearable and very collectible. You never find these really old, fine, pieces, on the market, so it’s a major find. It is naturally unsigned by the artist and not marked for metal content but it is guaranteed to be at least coin silver at. 900 or sterling at. Weight is 31.9grams. This is a spectacular find in that it’s a very old original Navajo bracelet, so well made and with three pump drilled stones and gorgeous stamp work. It doesn’t get more collectible than this!
