This offering is for an antique early 20th century circa 1910’s Cosmo Model 2 Railroad Ticket Dating Stamp or Cancelling Machine. The device is primarily made of cast iron and it has it’s original brass die in place which marked each ticket with the railroad station, in this case it reads “B & O RAILROAD XENIA ILL”, please note that in addition to the way it actually looks we have included a reversed image to make reading it easier. The top of the knob is maker marked and reads COSMO MODEL 2 PATENTED APR 20-09 NOV 9-09 MAR 7-11 AUG 16-11 PATS. The overall length is app. 8.5 and the width us app. 2.75″, the height to the top of the knob is 5.75″ The original ink printing tape is in place but it’s a bit tattered and has no ink left in it, it does however appear to be in one piece. The condition of the machine is excellent with typical wear to the the paint surface but no breaks, cracks or repairs.
