This guitar started life as a Gibson Explorer type guitar, and was certainly refinished at some point along the way… Probably by an EVH fan! The finish was well done, for the most part: there is a bit of “orange peel” throughout where the finish isn’t 100% smooth or flat. Plenty of light to moderate scratches from normal use, as well some dings and chips in the finish. Please look at all the pictures and consider them a part of this description. The good news is the cosmetic wear doesn’t extend much past the body: the back of the neck only has a few very minor dings, and the headstock has some light scratches but no major dings or dents. The fretboard itself has some light scratches too, but there’s only just a small amount of fretwear on these frets (no grooves). The neck is straight, and the action is right where you want it to be. These Quadrail pickups sound killer, and the battle scars only serve to give this guitar additional “rock n roll warrior” credibility. This guitar is built to shred, and it’s ready to rock!
