Old Southwestern Native American Indian turquoise repousse stamped Sterling silver concho belt, unmarked. This belt has 12 conchos of uniform size and a buckle. The amazing buckle measures approximately 2 15/16″ in width (across) by 2 5/18″ in height. The conchos are about 2 1/8″ wide by 1 11/16″ tall, and have a single copper keeper. The complete belt weighs 196 grams. The strap is LIZ CLAIBORN brand, and measures 36 1/4 in length from buckle keeper to the tip of the strap. I’m sure the conchos were added to the belt over time, either to fit the owner or the leather had worn out. The size is marked as “large”. It has 5 holes and the total circumference in the first hole is roughly 29 1/2″ and on the last it’s just shy of 34 1/2″. Nice dark patina, stones, and silver work.
