Old Southwestern Native American Indian Sterling silver barrette hair clips, stamped STERLING and unmarked, most likely Navajo. These pieces showcase a classic Native American barrette hair clip design, extra wide, adorned with 3 silver spheres wrapped in silver beads and separated by 2 rope style scrolls. The barrettes have hand-stamps all around. The pair weighs approximately 37.5 grams, and measures 5 5/8″ across and 13/16 ” in height. Note: The clips in the back of the barrette that hold the hair are different. One appears to be the original one, thicker, and narrower. The other is a more malleable wire, and wider.
