Post CW Cavalry began using pistols firing metallic rounds, the Cap Pouch was authorized to carry the loose pistol rounds. This speciman shows no use, has much wool lining remaining, the cone pick is still in place. Has the makers stamp. Has the ordnance inspectors stamp.
