Grade is very fine(terrific shape for used&age). Facts: several series marked a departure for the Bureau of Engraving and Printing(BEP). The previous BEP definitive stamps had used the old American Banknote dies, these stamps were entirely fresh designs. Known as the “Gingerbread Definitives” because of there ornate borders. It was also printed off center onto the page it was on. You can see this on the left where the fringes are closer to the top is thicker, which makes it thinner on the right side fringe. Worth Year issued: 1 cent. This series has the most beautiful design(my opinion) there is so much uniqueness put into the design of this stamp. Especially in such a fine state with little age or wear to the stamp. It also has a partial gum left. Please contact if you have any questions.
