You will receive EXACT ITEM PICTURED. This is the out door version and would have been used to light store fronts, street lighting, circus tents and traveling vendors to name a few. This would have been a state of the art lighting device that could be moved around easily. I can only imagine where this has been. Perhaps even lighting up an old Ford dealership long ago. The Chicago Solar company was incorporated in 1900. This was the first company to use the Nulite brand name for there lights. This became a very successful company in the early 1900s. In 1910 the National Stamping company bought the Chicago Solar company and that included the left over products along with the Nulite name which would carry on for many years and be successful for the National Stamping company. I know a lot of collectors world wide and to my knowledge this is the only one of these that survived. This lamp is from the late Dick sellers estate and is featured on Terry Marshs gas pressure appliance web site. I have not tried to light this lamp but it looks complete and should work with just a little attention Im sure. Original 1900 patent drawing and the original 1901 advertisment Photos are available upon request. Be sure to look at all pictures for overall condition. If you have any questions, please ask. Glass is in a separate box packed well for extra protection. Thank you for looking and be sure to check my store for other great collectibles.
