IT’S ONE OF THE NICEST SOUNDING CYMBALS I OWN! This is one of those Vintage Zildjians that just does everything well – it’s what they built their reputation on! Posted for your immense pleasure is this dark & wonderfully warm and shimmering sounding, Hard to Find Vintage Zildjian 1950s BLOCK LOGO THIN 22 Ride that is in EXCELLENT Condition!! Check out the pictures! Nicks, cracks, dents, or dings on this almost 70 year old thin gem. It’s in GREAT SHAPE with a light patina that has befriended it and a pinch of centerhole/general wear. Nothing bad at all! None of this “pre-aged” nonsense, it’s actually just AGED!! What’s so nice about this particular 22 is how remarkably well-balanced it is. It’s super warm and buttery sounding-this one has a super softer played-in vibe, it’s not rigid like modern cymbals are. It can easily be your Left Side Crash Ride or just a great straight up Main Ride. It has that quintessential Block Stamp buttery vibe! SOUNDFILE COMING AS SOON AS ONE IS RECORDED!! Weighing in at a VERY THIN 2337 grams, this 22 plays like a perfect 1950s dark, warm, Thin Ride—-it yields a nice, subtle stick attack and the wash is balanced and super smooth. It sounds like an old Blue Note record. Classic Vintage Zildjian Hand Hammered wash…. But still with a nice woody attack. The bell rises high off the plain and is strong too. Overall the vibe is that of a big 22″ LIGHT RIDE–it has a light, airy, breathiness to it that gives it a golden shimmer –a medium low “Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh. The tone quality itself is medium dark. And it’d be a great candidate for rivets if you’re so inclined. At 2337 grams it’s thin t and makes a great Sizzle. AND HELL YES YOU CAN CRASH ON THIS HAND HAMMERED THIN 22! THIS CYMBAL COULD ACTUALLY JUST BE A THIN CRASH! Obviously this even sounding Vintage Zildjian 50s BLOCK STAMP 22 Ride is a no brainer for jazz, ballads, blues, trio work, and soul. However the fun does not stop there, its warm wash and smooth vintage vibe will be a welcomed addition for any funk, fusion, folk, indie rock, or mellow pop/rock rig.
