There are a lot Buck 120’s for sale, but what makes this vintage piece special is the “inverted tang stamp”. In 1972 when Buck went to the “three line” stamp by adding the model number, the first Group manufactured had the logo inverted or read with the tip down. In 1973 or so, they flipped the logo to be read tip up. While that does not make this Buck 120 rare per se, it does make it unusual and not like the others. This particular 120 is in very nice condition having been used some, but not abused. Blade showing some minor scratches on the forward section and there are a few nicks on the spine. Handle is very clean but the beak of the pommel has some nicks as well. No rust or corrosion. Edge is not abused, but the knife needs to be sharpened for proper field use. Leather sheath is original flap type and is in good condition. This famous Buck 120 would be a wonderful addition to your collection!
