Vintage Ed Wiener Modernist Sterling Silver Kinetic Earrings Calder Pierced Ear. These mid-twentieth century earrings by Modernist jeweler Ed Wiener have biomorphic shapes reminiscent of Alexander Calders mobiles. They are marked Ed Wiener and Sterling and have posts for pierced ears. I had them converted several years ago. They are unpolished with scratches and tarnish consistent with age. Each earring measures 2 inches at the widest and 1 ½ inches at the longest. They dangle and move with your head. The shapes are quite flat. The earrings are VERY light. There is a small circular mark on one earring that you can see in the photo. I had a jeweler look at it. It may come out with polishing. I have been wearing vintage and used clothing since I was a poor college student over 30 years ago. I wash everything that comes into my house or drop it off at the dry cleaner even before that. So, the clothes that I sell you are either new with or without tags, washed in fragrance free detergent or freshly dry cleaned. I never use cleaners or fabric softeners with a fragrance. My dry cleaner is the eco-friendly kind so there are no chemicals and your clothing will not smell. Please respect this decision on my part.
