Ruana #12A “M” Stamped Sticker Knife with Leather Sheath. Here I have an authentic R. Ruana M-stamped #12A “sticker” knife with the original leather sheath. The sheath is in good condition with soft, pliable leather and STILL has what I believe to be the original model sticker on the back. The blade shows the “electric blue” patina of age that tells me the knife has basically never been used. The front of the sheath features the stamped RUANA name and deer head & knife logo. The knife itself appears to carry its factory original convex edge — I honestly don’t think this knife has EVER been re-sharpened or even touched up, and is still EXTREMELY sharp! Overall, the knife is in excellent condition. There are a few light marks here and there on the aluminum handle (I believe these are from the manufacturing process and are not from being used), but has no heavy scars or damage. The bolster is marked R. RUANA, BONNER, MONTANA” and also has the “M stamp to the right, which dates the knife to between 1962 and 1983. That being said, Ruana’s website says that the blade steel should be 1095 Hi-Carbon Spring Steel. This is a GORGEOUS collector’s knife that would make a great centerpiece for ANY Ruana knife collection!
